“Phoenix First is a church where you’ll really feel like you belong.”
For 16 years, Pastor Gary Blair has been the trusted right-hand personal assistant to Senior Pastor Tommy Barnet.
“My responsibilities include traveling with and assisting Pastor Barnett on his many ministry trips nationally and internationally throughout the year,” he states. “Additionally, I oversee the ushers and Watchmen ministries of the church.”
His trademark wide, friendly smile is frequently seen as he personally greets members of the congregation before and after services. As pastor of First Impressions, he makes sure that a team is in place to warmly welcome everyone who passes through the PFA doors.
“With so many ministries and activities, PFA is truly a church that never sleeps,” says Pastor Gary. “PFA is a church with a heart that helps so many who are hurting and in need.”
Some of the countries Pastor Gary has visited in connection with ministry work include Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, England, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, France, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, China, Singapore, and the Marshall Islands.
He and his wife, Sandra, are the parents of three adult children.
