“Phoenix First is a great place to raise your family. You can also connect with others very easily in the small groups during the Wednesday evening Fusion service.”
For those who wonder how and where they can fit in at PFA, Pastor Aaron Dunn is the person to see.
He is responsible for multiple ministries: APEX, Small Groups, Volunteer Ministries and First Connections. Together they share the common purpose of getting members and visitors connected so they can experience growth while fulfilling their ministry passions.
“It is important that individuals find places where they truly fit in and know they belong,” says Pastor Aaron. “With over 270 PFA ministries, it is important to understand not only what the church is as a whole, but also who you are as an individual and how to find your place.”
He teaches and facilitates APEX, the PFA starting point. This Sunday morning class offers practical teachings on church culture, Bible study, and spiritual development.
Small groups also play a big part in connecting as well. “Church takes place in community, and community happens on Wednesday Fusion nights in small groups,” states Pastor Aaron. “Worship, teaching, and small group community is the entire makeup of the FUSION service experience.”
Pastor Aaron has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. His studies include communications, public speaking, marketing, and biblical studies. His time at GCU helped Aaron to craft a relevant and thought-out approach to communicating the gospel.
Aaron has over 20 years of experience working in youth ministry, church planting and as a lead. He and his wife, Michelle, are the parents of three girls: Kylie, Christian, and Kenedee. Michelle serves PFA as communications director.
