As Associate Worship Director, Shawn Henss is responsible for coordinating the weekend worship services, as well as Wednesday nights. He also handles the day-to day administrative responsibilities for the Phoenix First music department.
“We want to see our ministry grow not only in numbers but also spiritually,” he states. “I also want to see us get more musicians and singers that we can pour into and raise up—especially the youth, so we can help the next generation of worshippers.”
“I believe in the passion this church has for winning the lost to Jesus and helping those who can’t help themselves,” he says. “It’s an honor to have this platform in order to reach the lost.”
Before taking on his current ministry in 2009, Shawn served for six years as the worship leader for the Phoenix First Youth. He graduated in 2002 from the Phoenix First Assembly Pastors College.
Shawn and his wife, Alia, have a son, Gavin.
