“At Phoenix First, we see lives touched and changed every week. We do not want anyone to slip through the cracks. Everyone MATTERS!”
As the daughter of Executive Pastor Dale Lane and Senior Executive Assistant Lynn Lane, Michelle Lane-Dunn literally grew up in the church. She and her family first came to Phoenix from Davenport, Iowa with the Barnett family in 1980.
“I was a part of the founding days of many PFA ministries. In fact, as a child I worked along with my dad, who founded the PFA bus ministry,” says Michelle. “This created a heart for people and my desire to see their lives changed.”
“PFA and the leadership really have a passion to see the lost found. Every week we have the privilege to see people come to Christ,” she says. “Our people are growing in the things of God. Families are being restored and hearts are being healed.”
After marrying Pastor Aaron Dunn in 1996, Michelle and her husband planted two churches and saw many lives changed. They have visited Mexico and Spain in connection with ministry outreach. They are the parents of three daughters: Kylie, Christian, and Kenedee. Their family returned to PFA in 2009 and Michelle was hired on staff after volunteering through APEX.
In her role overseeing the PFA Communications Department, Michelle is responsible for all internal and external promotional advertising. “My passion and calling is to assist our Pastor in effectively bringing people into the church. It is the vision of my department to truly serve PFA and its ministries,” says Michelle. Her job keeps her particularly busy promoting annual events such as the Christmas and Easter pageants, Pastors’ School, the 4th of July spectacular, Thanksgiving turkey giveaways and the Christmas toy drive. She also oversees the PFA web site copy and graphic design services.
“Phoenix First wants to see families grow in Christ and find a place to belong. We have designed opportunities that create an atmosphere to connect with others,” she says.
